- In order to be considered for a position, you have to be able to demonstrate five points for English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
- The course of study lasts 3 years. Application forms are available from the UCTH School of Nursing office.

The University of Calabar Teaching Hospital is seeking applications from qualified applicants to be admitted into the School of Nursing for Basic Nursing Training.
UCTH School of Nursing Admission Requirements & Duration of Training
Admission Requirements: Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits of English Mathematics, Language Physics Chemistry or Biology and not more than two sessions from SSCE as well as NECO. Candidates between the ages of 17 and 35 until November 2023 can be qualified to apply.
Training duration This Basic Nursing program is scheduled to run over three (3) years.
How to Apply for the UCTH School of Nursing Admission Form
Candidates interested in applying can get applications at the office of the Principal of the School of Nursing, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Moore Road, Calabar. The application forms will be available from the 8th of March onwards until Friday, May 5th, 2023. (Subject to availability).
Candidates must pay a non-refundable amount of N17,000 to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital Collection Account located at EKONDO Microfinance Bank, along Muritala Mohammed Highway, Account Number. 1100757926.
Candidates must swap the teller’s receipt in exchange for a receipt from the UCTH Treasury Permanent location and show the receipt in person to the school’s principal of Nursing, UCTH, along Moore Road, for collection of the application Form.
UCTH School of Nursing Admission Important Dates
Deadline for Submission of Applications: Application Forms along with photocopies of all relevant documents are to be received by in the Office of the Principal no by Monday 15th May 2023.
Selection Exam Admission Examination: The exam will be held on the 19th of May 2023. Venue: School of Nursing Premises, Moore Road, and UCTH Permanent Site in Calabar in the morning at 8:00 AM promptly.
Oral Interviews: Oral interviews for candidates who are successful will be held in the UCTH Permanent Site on a date to be communicated to those who pass the written exam only.
