2023 JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB) FORM > REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES.

  • This announcement is intended to inform people of the fact that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the start of 2023 enrollment to UTME or Direct Entry applicants.
  • The application form is available for those who wish to take part in the 2023 UTME in Nigeria and other countries.
  • To ensure an easy registration process We have put together a complete list of places which you can sign-up with us. You can also find the JAMB number of forms and entry requirements, suggested textbooks, syllabus, and many more below.

After its meeting of management held on December 20, 2022, The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the dates of its main activities in 2023.

So the Board has now approved the registration timeframe for 2023’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which will be held starting on the 14th of January, on a Saturday until Tuesday 14 February 2023. However, this does not allow the registration period to submit Direct Entry (DE) application documents, since DE registration will begin on the 20th of February, Monday, and would close on Thursday, 20th April 2022.

The Board also decided to set Thursday, 16 March 2023 as the date of its mock UTME, which is an option UTME.

Candidates are informed that they are expected to make a fee of N1,000 to centres for CBT for conducting mock exams when they register. This is to avoid the situation where applicants express an interest in taking the mock UTME and cause centres to invest in both material and human resources and then have applicants fail to show up for the test. The new format lets applicants can indicate their enthusiasm by paying for the exam mock during UTME registration, which prevents centres from losing money regardless of whether the candidates actually take the test.

The Board recommends that all candidates who plan to register to take the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) immediately start making their profiles (creation of a profile number) before the official start of the registration process. This is to ensure they don’t get involved in subsequent bottlenecks.

The 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam (UTME) Formula has begun. Be aware that registration is completed by JAMB-accredited centers as well as JAMB State-Offices. To protect yourself, do not visit any cyber cafes or computer centers apart from those that are licensed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which is administered by JAMB is a standard entrance-level exam for those looking to pursue higher education.

Before proceeding, download the JAMB CBT Practice Software from Here for a top score in the upcoming exam.

Direct entry applicants should be sure to check (the 2022 JAMB Direct Entry Application Form Details) to get the JAMB DE form and to register.

CAVEAT: CANDIDATES SHOULD NOT APPLY FOR UTME AND DE AT THE SAME TIME. IF ANY CANDIDATE APPLIES THROUGH UTME AND LATER OBTAINS DE QUALIFICATION, THE UTME CAN BE UPGRADED TO DE AT NO COST. In fact, it’s a sanctionable offense to receive two documents for application in the same calendar year. Double or multiple registrations can result in the possibility of prosecution and cancellation.

Do not forget to BOOKMARK this page and keep checking back regularly. Our goal is to provide you with the right information to ensure easy registration.

The applicants are advised to verify their eligibility for the chosen programs and institutions at ibass.jamb.gov.ng. It is crucial that applicants be sure to check their eligibility before beginning their application. The eligibility checker helps applicants with a variety of programs (courses) that are based on their skills

Don’t give your password to any centre (or Cyber Cafe). Any center that asks for more than your profile number email address, profile code, and account number, is likely to be a rip-off. Never give any passwords.

How to Create a JAMB Profile

  1. Each candidate will require the usage of a specific phone (mobile) number (SIM) to complete the process of registration. The number is unique and is only available to one candidate only. (Note That this number (SIM) remains your individual identity for all transactions in the Board.
  2. The applicant will text his/her NIN (NIN) via message (SMS) to the number 55019 or even 66019, based on their individual GSM number. e.g. compose”NIN”, then write “NIN” then space and include your 11-digit NIN and then send it to 55019 or the 66019 arrangement (NIN 000123456789). There must be a blank space in between “NIN” and your 11-digit NIN (Note that an individual who has the same NIN must not have used your number to apply to take part in UTME/DE before). Do not use postpaid cards or specific bundle SIM cards. They will not function unless they are packed with credit.
  3. The candidate is issued the Profile Code of 10 characters on the same telephone(SIM) number.
  4. The number that is used to send messages via text is linked to the student’s application for the 2022 Exam, Admission, and Application. CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THE SIM NUMBER USED; IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE FOR SUBSEQUENT COMMUNICATION WITH THE BOARD BY OBTAINING UTME/DE APPLICATION DOCUMENTS; A CANDIDATE HAS ACCEPTED TO RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES FROM JAMB (55019 or 66019) EVEN WHEN THE “DO NOT DISTURB” IS ACTIVATED
  5. The applicant presents his profile number at the point of purchasing of the form (Banks MMOs, MFBs, MMOs, Switches, USSD Partners). The form’s ePIN code is then transmitted as an SMS message to the phone numbers of the candidates.
  6. The applicant needs to show an e-PIN at any JAMB-accredited CBT Centre for registration.
  7. The application is not complete until the biometric data of the applicant (all 10 fingers) is recorded and taken physically (No photo of passport required). Successfully capturing biometrics as well as a photograph allows a person to print their e-registration slip. The fingerprint is required for any subsequent transaction that requires JAMB on the profile of the candidate.
  8. Only those who pass the biometrics test on the day of the exam will be allowed to sit the UTME. No proxy or parent is allowed to perform any transactions on the candidate’s profile.
  9. Biometrically challenged applicants must register only for biometric challenges at JAMB headquarters located in Abuja. This arrangement is made to facilitate this by JAMB state offices.
